Don’t “Settle” When It Comes To Insulation

Fiberglass batts and rolls do not settle over time. Loose-fill fiberglass may settle about 1%, which won’t affect its thermal performance. Cellulose insulation, however, will settle as much as 20% over time. The Insulation Contractors Association of America recommends an additional 25% of thickness be added to compensate and maintain R-value performance. Click here for more information.
